Lately I’ve been soaking up lots of new inspirations and colors to put into my paintings.
One of the things I’ve realized along the way is that I’m so thankful I started painting again.
I’ve always loved art and have been creative, but I stopped painting and creating for years after college. I hid that part of myself away.
I didn’t want to do anything creative if I couldn’t do it all the time. It was just too painful. So I hopped from job to job to job until I was fired in 2008. I started painting again to heal my heart.
I didn’t think my creativity mattered. But now I realize that not creating was what held me back and really crushed my spirit.
So now I create something every day. Then I can remember to be kinder to myself, keep following my joy and doing more of what I love.

I hope it keeps you inspired!
Happy painting!
