I am so excited for my Painting Retreat in Wisconsin at the beautiful Octagon Barn next weekend!
There are just a few spots left ❤️ August 3 & 4, come for one day or both days.
I’ve been reviewing my past paintings to decide which techniques to demonstrate.
I thought you might enjoy a look at my paintings…
You can browse the collection here.
All of these paintings were created with water-soluble pencil, acrylics, inks, and paint pen (except for a few, I added oil paintsticks in the background). I love layering these supplies in my paintings.
I’ll cover these styles, techniques, and supplies in detail during the retreat.
Whether you’re new to painting or an experienced artist, we’ll have so much fun developing friendships and creating art together in this gorgeous landscape. I will nurture your creativity and we will all create paintings full of color and joy.
We will focus on color and techniques for loosening up, particularly in painting women and animals. I’ll guide you through my painting process from start to finish: beginning with covering the white space, layering color, and fingerpainting. Then we’ll add faces and figures, integrating everything together.
Having fun with my artwork helps me let go, follow my heart, and paint without the pressure of perfection. I want you to feel all of that magic too!
The retreat will be held at the beautiful Octagon Barn near my studio in Spring Green, Wisconsin. All skill levels are welcome!
I’m so inspired by all of the beauty around my studio…
Creating in my sketchbook is also a huge part of my process, helping me play, stay loose, and get inspired. We’ll spend time sketching in the gardens and incorporating those inspirations into our paintings. That way, it will be easy for you to go home and keep painting!
To help you get started, you’ll also receive instant-access to my Watercolor Joy Mini Course.
Right now, I’m on my deck, listening to the morning doves and cicadas in the woods outside my studio.
I’ve just finished a new mixed media painting, and I think I will add a splash of ink in the same hue as the hot pink cosmos.
If you’d like to soak up this inspiration, paint, and play, come spend the weekend with me.
I hope to see you in Wisconsin for a magical experience! Reach out to me with any questions.
Happy painting!
xo Juliette
