This week’s paintings are inspired by evenings on the Florida beaches…
A few years ago, I began spending part of the winter along the Florida coast, walking the white sand at sunset and soaking in the shifting light and color of the ocean.
My work is inspired by that same sense of wonder, light, and movement I feel there. It channels a childlike joy and a deep sense of peace.
My painting practice is rooted in the belief that art can bring calm, hope, and happiness. My wish is that each painting carries a little of that feeling into your home.

And what’s especially exciting right now is that I’m back in the studio, preparing to begin a new 48 x 36-inch commissioned painting for Studio E Gallery. Soon I’ll be standing in front of a blank canvas, writing the first words and intentions that will guide the piece. From there, a magical woman with happy eyes, colorful hair, and feathers will slowly emerge layer by layer.
In case you missed it, I had the most wonderful conversation with Dionne Woods on The Motivatarian Exchange podcast, sharing my journey to becoming a full-time artist—what it really took, the lessons learned, and the magic along the way.
If you’re dreaming of doing the work you love, I hope this conversation sparks something in you. Give it a listen, and if it speaks to you, please pass it along to a friend who might need a little encouragement too!
