Rainbow Dreamer is the January Project for my online course SERENDIPITY- A YEAR IN MIXED MEDIA.
It was inspired by some of my favorite artists- Mindy Lacefield, Anne Davies and Jeanie Tomanek.
I had in mind that I wanted to paint something that reminded me of the peace I feel whenever I visit the Wisconsin countryside. I just adore the rolling hills and farmlands with little red barns dotted here and there.
And I love that feeling of open space.
When I first looked at this painting I heard the Beatles’ song, Imagine, and the words, “You may say I’m a dreamer. But I’m not the only one”
And from there, she got her own title and story…
She dreams of all things past and present, reminded that in connecting the dots, the future will be paved with rainbows.
