In almost every painting, I hit what I call ‘the ugly stage.’ For me, that’s a super negative point where I feel like I won’t be able to pull my painting together. But I’ve learned that hitting that ugly stage is just part of my creative process. Instead of allowing the negativity and self-doubt to take over, I remember to stop trying to paint something perfect and return to having fun and embrace the beautiful mistakes (whether that means starting a new painting, splashing ink all over or breaking free and completely covering up the parts of my painting I just don’t like).
My hope for you in this course, is that you feel more gentle and light as you paint and inspired to let go, so you can paint with no right or wrong and create from a place that makes you feel free.
In Imperfectly Perfect Painting, I share many playful techniques and characters to help you let go and find your own style. By the end of class, you’ll have five super loose and free paintings and the template to get you started again and again, so you can keep exploring and develop your own artistic voice.
That means we’ll draw and paint big-eyed characters, primitive faces, feather-haired girls, lusciously layered backgrounds and more! I’ll also show you how to paint a portrait in under 12 minutes with just a few supplies, so even if you don’t have a lot of space or time, you can still get creative and play.
This is the perfect class to do with kids or for those looking to loosen up and feel more free with your artwork.
Here are the details:
* Class begins September 19th, 2016
* Five mixed media painting projects plus bonus videos, downloadable pdfs and more
* 1 year access to the classroom, so even if you don’t have a chance to get to everything now, there’s always plenty of time
* Forever access to our online community, so you’ll always have a place to connect and feel supported with your artistic journey
In IMPERFECTLY PERFECT PAINTING, we’ll paint with our fingertips, play with bright colors and have fun with lots of layers. And, with each demo, I’ll use just a few of my favorite basic and inexpensive art supplies, so the class doesn’t need to be a huge investment.
I just can’t thank you all enough for your kindness, encouragement and support! THANK YOU! I cannot wait to paint more with you. Painting has always been my passion. And I am so very honored to be able to share my art with you!

Have a phenomenal weekend!
Ps. Here’s a little of what students have been saying…
“I can’t tell you how much I learn from Juliette explaining what she’s doing wrong and right while she’s painting. I feel so much more confident in my own art because of this. I am forgiving myself when I can’t paint a perfect picture, make a perfect doll or quilt on the first try.” -Peggy McDevitt
“Your classes opened my eyes to having more fun creating. I now am not scared of starting a project.” -Nina Marie
“Juliette’s classes are soul-filling! I WISH I could express how you have changed my vision and freed my mind.” -Dana Strickland
“Juliette shows how she works through creating a painting. What is especially great about this, besides the tips on technique, methods, and art materials, is that she shows how she goes through the ugly stages or the “this isn’t working” stages and pushes through. It is very inspirational (and comforting) to see a person who paints for a living also struggles with these issues.” -Renata Wurster
“Thank you for teaching me to let go… splash paint… enjoy and discover the joy of serendipitous moments.” -Sandy Leamon Derryberry
