I can’t even say how much I am adoring art journaling these days. I’m even getting the courage to add a few words to my paintings (and not immediately cover them up).

This first piece was inspired by my dear friend Mindy Lacefield and a lesson in her True Free Spirit class.

Whenever I paint with Mindy I am inspired to create rainbows and stars and girls with striped socks. So that’s how this journal page began.

From there, these other art journal pages came to life…

With each art journal page I feel like I learn something new.

They give me places to begin in all of my paintings, so that I feel more free to let go and play.

I hope they inspire you too. And, if you’re looking for some new art supplies to keep you inspired, here are a few of my favorites.
