If you’re a regular reader of this blog, you know I adore trying out new art supplies.
And these are some of my new favorite supplies and colors…
From left to right, top to bottom:
1. Ranger’s Distress Reinkers (I’m especially loving walnut, crushed olive and mustard seed)
2. Liquitex acrylic inks (my new favorite color is prussian blue, but I also always love yellow orange azo)
3. Micaceous Iron Oxide (fabulous for night skies and texture)
4. Golden’s high flow acrylics (I especially adore the florescent chartreuse)
5. Rubber roller (I’ve only used a foam roller before, which wasted so much paint)
6. X-acto knife and a self healing cutting mat (I never had a mat and ended up slicing through so many beautiful papers because I thought it was easier)
7. Rubber stamps (I’m in love with these sheets of big stamps… so fun, especially with silver ink)
8. Craft acrylic paints (I love to mix the cheap craft paints with a bit of higher quality white acrylic. I especially love folk art’s red violet and americana’s melon)
9. Derwent inktense water soluble pencil in sherbet lemon
10. Washi tape (I found these at my local craft store, but there are many brilliant patterns sold on etsy too… so fun for creating layers)
11. Stamp Ink pads (I love TPC Studio- Clearly Better in silver)
12. Derwent charcoal pencils (keep them in place with a little spray varnish)
13. Extreme glitter acrylic paint by folk art (Champagne, Hologram and Red are my favorites)

Wait, I didn’t know there was such a thing as glitter paint! Gotta get me some!! 😉

exactly. i love it more, i think, than glitter. it’s like a glitter glue, but seems to have so much more of a punch. and the red is just like Dorothy’s slippers 🙂

who makes the big stamps you found?
Juliette CraneAuthor
i lost the packaging for that big stamp and cannot find the name. i had posted it on my fb page, but cannot find that any longer either. it was from my local craft store… if I find the name, I will let you know 🙂

Hi Linda and Juliette, I think the big stamp is from Deep Red Stamps – Leaves Background.

There’s not enough room to list my supplies. I will tell you a favorite find I use for my acrylic inks, a deviled egg serving platter from Target. The little wells are perfect to put drops of ink in and it’s pretty easy to clean. If there is too much build up of dried ink I can stick it in the dishwasher.

so fun, lynda! i will have to try that!
