The original mixed media painting will be up at my art show until next week. Archival prints of BREAK FREE are now available in my ETSY ART SHOP.
BREAK FREE 8 X 8 Inch Print of Mixed Media Painting by Juliette Crane
This one reminds me of someone on their lunch break. I used acrylics, pastels, watercolor, ink, and colored pencils. Then I added a small diamond of origami paper at the center which, to me, is like a window into the heart. On top, I’ve applied an antique decoupage to soften up the blues and add a sense of magic.

I like the pose of this one.
For some reason that diamond on its chest kind of reminded me of Rainbow Fish and its rainbow fin! Haha. ๐

I've been wondering just what that diamond on his chest is. Funny you mention Rainbow Fish. I wrote a short story about them…that a magical portal opened when the Rainbow Fish jumped out of the water all at once.
