Happy Valentine’s Day!
I was looking back at my blog post from last valentine’s day and at that time I had just taught my second in-person owl painting workshop and was heading to California for my first art retreat, An Artful Journey.
I just can’t believe it’s been a year! And now I am so completely into Paper Doll Girls with my HOW TO PAINT A GIRL e-course this week…that I just had to share a version of our paper dolls with you too!
One of the first paper doll girls I created was SPRING AND THE BOOK DRESS. She’s made up of lots and lots of book pages from an old copy of James and The Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. I created her to honor the writer in me. After spending two years writing the novel I’m editing and reworking now, I got burned out. And, very thankfully, turned back to painting!
