I’ve been letting go of a lot of old things to make room for what I really want more of in my life… more creating, relaxation and fun.
It’s been feeling like spring, so I’ve been inspired to simplify my paintings even more and sketch with just a stabilo pencil and a little water.
These new Storybook Paintings have also been inspiring me to write stories again. I’ve had it in my mind that I’d love to put together a picture book, and, I think, these new whimsical paintings are just the thing.
I can’t wait to share more of them with you soon!
I’m still at the beginning stages, but I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek.
If you’d like to follow along, I’ll be posting more Storybook Paintings over on my instagram, facebook and google+
What have you been creating lately? Have you been trying anything new? I’d be delighted to hear from you and will be sure to look for your comments.
And, if you know of someone who might enjoy this post, feel free to share it (there are links beside the Join The Conversation section below).
Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement. Painting and storytelling have always been my passion and I am so very honored to be able to share my art with you!
……….
Ps. My latest online workshop Happy Painting has just started!
It’s been amazing to see all of the artwork that is already being created. And I just adore the positive and supportive online community in our facebook group!

LOVE the directions your spring painting has taken you. The Storybook Paintings are delightful – can’t wait to see a picture book of them! A coloring book featuring your stabilo drawings would be sooo great too. How fun would that be? And I have to comment on your Take a Chance painting – AMAZING!!

I think your pictures would make a fantastic story book! I’d love to share your colourful work with my little girl! I’m actually moving in a similar direction! I’m taking part in the #the100dayproject doing a #100fairies and finding that they have stories that need telling!
