This painting is part of my Owl Series, an offering of wild abundance, wisdom, strength, and peace.

Owls have always been a symbol for me — a reminder that I’m on the right path.

When I first started painting again in 2009, I had no clue what to paint. But then I stepped back to look at my first layers—and I distinctly saw the outline of an owl.

As a child, there was a giant wooden owl statue beside our fireplace. It was nearly as tall as I was and seemed to watch over everything with its golden eyes. It was lost during a move, but I’ve always felt that painting owls brings back that same sense of protection — and abundance.

This is an original 20″ x 24″ mixed media painting on stretched canvas by artist, Juliette Crane.

The sides are 3/4 inches deep, so the painting continues over the edges and it is ready to hang with or without frame.

Each painting is created and shipped out of Madison, Wisconsin.

All of my originals are protected with a matte, archival finish. Signed, titled and dated on the back.
