A lot of you asked if I could make my Lifebook 2015 portrait painting project available as well, so I’m offering it as a new stand alone class.
In this online workshop, there is one downloadable video lesson that is about 13 minutes in length. I’ll share how to paint a loose, primitive portrait, so it’s a great project to help you be bold and strengthen your own style in painting a face.
We will keep it super simple and fun, playing with chalk, watercolors, papers and pencil in a sketchbook. I’ll also talk you through the entire process, in real time, explaining what I’m doing, when I get stuck and how I get back on track to pull my painting together.
This is a perfect summer project if you’re looking to be more loose in painting portraits and faces.
* Early Bird Sale until July 29 ($15 with code PORTRAIT)

Having fun, learning to let go and not being afraid to cover up my paintings have now become essential to my creative process.
I’ve fallen in love with mixed media painting and out of all of the painting techniques I’ve ever tried, the one thing I always return to is remembering to have fun with whatever it is I’m creating. This brings joy into the process, which inevitably gets infused into your artwork and always makes anyone who sees it smile.
Happy painting!
