In my Artist’s Journey series, I shared how important connection and friendships are to me. This new collection reflects those values, drawing inspiration from one of my favorite colorful memories…

I usually spend winters in Florida, where I love walking barefoot on the beach. One evening at sunset, the sky was filled with breathtaking shades of gold and turquoise. It was one of those magical moments when everyone seemed to pause and admire the beauty of the world. I sat down on a sand dune next to a woman already soaking in the colors. We didn’t exchange words, just a smile and that shared feeling of I can’t believe we’re lucky enough to be here right now.

Just as the sun dipped beneath the horizon, a dolphin leapt from the water in a perfect arc. She and I turned to each other, marveling at the moment. We’ve been amazing friends ever since. This collection is a reflection of that connection, community, and the colors that bring us together.

This release also marks the completion of a personal art challenge I began on August 18th: creating and sharing two new paintings each week (32 in total!).

Last autumn, I did a similar challenge to experiment with new techniques, which inspired my daily sketchbook practice and completely transformed my work.

Over these last few years, I’ve had the chance to share my favorite techniques with you at my art retreats and in my class membership, and I can’t wait to see where it all leads next ❤️
