I’ve been doing a lot of that wandering near the water, which is making a huge impact on my work. I’m thinking about my process and how I use water as a medium to move paint and color around on the canvas.

The title is inspired by that feeling of freedom I get whenever I allow myself the space and time to just wander. I’ve been exploring natural and urban landscapes without trying to define them, just allowing them to move me, then coming back into the studio and interpreting what I’ve seen, attempting to turn it into a feeling and bring it back out onto the canvas.

This painting is a wandering in its composition, allowing for color to overlap and turn into something completely new while pushing up against existing edges.

This is an original 12″ x 16″ mixed media painting on canvas by artist, Juliette Crane.

The sides are 1″ deep, so the painting continues over the edges and it is ready to hang with or without frame.

Each painting is created and shipped out of Madison, Wisconsin.

All of my originals are protected with a matte, archival finish. Signed, titled and dated on the back.
