I used to wear my hair in space buns and this woman in particular is a nod to Star Wars, a film I watched with my hands over my eyes in theaters when I was quite young, and didn’t see again until my husband reintroduced me a few years ago.

I’ve always been fascinated by space. These new paintings remind me of the vastness of the universe. And she has the energy of a hologram transmitted through time, bringing hope.

This is an original 12″ x 16″ mixed media painting on canvas by artist, Juliette Crane.
