This painting’s title comes from one of my favorite memories. I usually spend winters in Florida, where I love walking barefoot on the beach. One evening at sunset, it was one of those magical times when everyone was out, and the sky was filled with shades of gold and turquoise. It was so beautiful that I stopped to sit on a sand dune beside a woman who was already admiring the colors. We didn’t say a word, just shared a smile and that feeling of I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be here right now.

Just as the sun dipped beneath the horizon, a dolphin leapt from the water in a perfect arch. She and I turned to each other, sharing in the beauty of that moment. We’ve been amazing friends ever since, and this painting is a reflection of that colorful friendship, connection and community.

This is an original 12″ x 16″ mixed media painting on canvas by artist, Juliette Crane.

The sides are 2″ deep, so the painting continues over the edges and it is ready to hang with or without frame.

Each painting is created and shipped out of Madison, Wisconsin.
