Video Preview Of My Book :: Inspired By The Little Things

I am just so excited to finally see my new art book in print! Here’s a sneak peek at the front and back covers…

Creating my first book has been a dream come true! And I wanted to create something very special for the cover.

So I decided to create a new original owl painting, which was kind of a lot of pressure.

It was key for me to work on many paintings at once. That kept me super loose and detached from just one painting.

Working on many paintings at once also allowed me to make some incredibly beautiful mistakes and learn what worked and didn’t work.

While I loved these two owl paintings, they inspired me to try a new idea instead for the cover.

I decided to try work with one of my favorite owl prints instead of creating something completely new. It was an idea I had from the start, but didn’t “think” it would work, so I didn’t pursue it.

I printed out two of my favorite owl prints and adhered them to four pieces of paper (so I’d again have multiple paintings going at once). I didn’t really think any of these would end up as the cover, so I really let go and had fun playing with them… soon it became clear just what needed to be on the book cover.

I recorded this entire painting process from start to finish and included a special link to the video tutorial in my book, so I could share even more of my painting process with you… I can’t wait for you to watch it!

In the meantime… I wanted to give you a sneak peek at what’s inside my book. I thought the best way to show you what this book is all about would be to page through it all with you.

I hope you enjoy it!

You can purchase a signed copy of my book until Tuesday, November 4 HERE. After that it will be available here via Amazon.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by and for reading. I am so incredibly grateful for all of your love and support of my work.
