a NEW Painting Video: How to Paint An Owl

TITLE: Sweet On You. Prints available in my etsy shop.

it’s always so much fun for me to watch a painting video from start to finish! it’s so amazing the way a character and its scene changes again and again until that feeling sets in and i know i’m on the right track. getting to that point is tricky sometimes and takes a lot of layers…but it is always, always worth every bit of it all.

i hope you enjoy this little painting video!

pps. i’m crazy excited to have my blog banner featured in the spring 2012 issue of artful blogging (right beneath the banner of the always inspiring surface pattern designer, rachael taylor)!

this is such a beautiful magazine and i was so happy to find the lovely danielle daniel’s gorgeous artwork on the cover along with a beautiful spread and inspirational article inside too!

thank you always for your incredible encouragement and support! it’s been AMAZING to go from showing my paintings at our local library to sharing them here with you and teaching and painting around the globe! it’s completely a dream come true… thank you!

  6. Hello lovely Juliette. So not only is your banner in 'Artful Blogging' (hooray) but I have also just seen a picture of you in 'Where Women Create'. It is the first time I have seen this magazine in real life and was just flicking through it today (so inspiring) and I thought 'I recognise that face. That's Juliette'. Have you seen it? In the Creative Connections feature?

I hope all is well with you. Everything is good here. Doing Hello Soul Hello Business and it's been a pretty amazing ride.

    lots of love xxxxx

  9. thank you so much, nancy! that is so sweet of you to say!

    best wishes!

  10. Juliette, I LOVED the video and the song. They will definitely stick with me. What fun to see a painting come to life. You are inspiring me to create each day and actually push myself to do what I want, to achieve finished two-dimensional work I love in addition to the three-dimensional creations I do already. I hope I'll get there someday. And I want to create outside like you do! :o ) Congratulations on your banner in Artful Blogging–so great to see your own creation in print.
